I found the recipe in a box last time I visited my mom. I found this “sour cream coffee cake” on a small piece of notebook paper which was hand written in my Mamaw’s slanted cursive and had her name scrawled across the top corner of the page.
These soft pretzels with Spundekäs (SHPOON-duh-case) are the newest installment of my obsession with homemade dough. Working with dough is one of my favorite things in the world. So is eating warm breads fresh from my own oven. This recipe is a win-win. And, it even comes with a creamy, onion-y dip. Triple win.
